13 weeks and counting!!

We've started a blog! We have gotten many requests from friends and family for baby updates, pictures, etc., so we started this blog to keep everyone posted on our current adventure.

As of now we are less than 100 days until Baby Boy Carr is born!! (yikes!)
There's so much to do betweeen now and then! Nathan's "little sweatshop" opens this weekend. He and Mike (aka Uncle Mikey) will be starting on replacing the flooring in part of the house. We are putting in wood laminate in the flex room (to become the office), the nursery (formerly the office), and the guest bedroom, in that order. Then its replacing all the baseboards and finally, painting the nursery. This sweatshop will be open for business each weekend until the work is done and we are ready for Baby!
While Daddy and Mike are slaving away on Saturday, Mommy and Aunt Yen will be picking strawberries at Hunsader Farms and then going to the spa for massages, facials and pedicures! I wonder who got the better end of the deal here??

Our 27 week doctor's appointment is Tuesday, which will include the glucose screen test. After this visit, we have three weeks to the next visit and then we start going every other week. We also start childbirth classes the first week of February. :-)

Baby is currently supposed to be about 14 inches long and about one and 2/3 pounds. He is moving around alot these days and you can now sometimes see the movements when kicks are stronger. (It is quite amusing to watch the stomach jump suddenly!)

As you probably noted above, there is still no name for baby Carr. We are getting closer, but have not picked a final name. The baby will have a name before we go to the hospital!!
It is not a slight thing when those so fresh from God love us.

If one feels the need of something grand, something infinite, something that makes one feel aware of God, one need not go far to find it. I think that I see something deeper, more infinite, more eternal than the ocean in the expression of the eyes of a little baby when it wakes in the morning and coos or laughs because it sees the sun shining on its cradle.
